This recipe is so easy, I almost labeled it Morning Quickie until I realized how… that sounded. But seriously, since moving to Tennessee, I have seriously been bemoaning the lack of Jamba Juices and other smoothie-type places because it is SO DANG HOT. (Ok, sorry, I just had to get that out of my system.) Luckily, during my sophomore year Scott’s parents gave me a Magic Bullet and this recipe was born.
- 5 frozen strawberries
- ¼ cup frozen blueberries
- 1 frozen banana, divided
- 1 8-oz vanilla yogurt (greek or otherwise)
- ⅓ (or more) cup OJ
- Just blend them together!
All these proportions are approximate. Use your own judgement based on the size of the banana, berries, and personal preference!
Poco a poco
Ok seriously, do you need step by step instructions for this? Freeze the berries/banana together the night before (yay meal prep!) and just blend it with the yogurt and orange juice! Also, you can totally tell I made this in a big hurry this morning–I didn’t bother to clean off the table before taking photos. But yeah, that’s how easy and quick this recipe is!
Scott introduced me to this artist this week and I kind of just love listening to her on our commute up into Nashville in the morning. Enjoy!
